LAONA - One of the biggest private companies in Forest County is getting bigger. W.D. Flooring of Laona is upgrading the equipment in its 110-year-old mill – and the firm plans to double the size of its workforce from 55 employees to about 113.
CEO Peter Connor says the demand for flooring has changed from solid hardwood models to engineered wood.
The firm is looking for sales and manufacturing employees to make-and-sell the new items.
