Computers in the lab at St. Francis School in Ellsworth were replaced for the new school term. Principal Jeanne McCoy said the 25 computers were bought from a business which refurbishes them after they’ve been leased. McCoy believed the last time the computers in the lab were replaced was approximately seven years ago. Last week, students were using their computer skills to learn math and science there.
Music Teacher Kay Lee Penton demonstrated the use of a Smart Board at St. Francis School Thursday. Three more Smart Boards were added to the school’s previous five for the new school term. The first such device was made available at the school around four years ago.
