CHICAGO - Steve Stricker of Madison and Tiger Woods are teamed up again this afternoon in the four-ball competition.
After three holes, the U.S. pairing of Stricker-and-Woods had a one-up lead over the European duo of Lee Westwood and Nicholas Colsaerts. Three of the four U.S. pairings were leading by early afternoon, and the other one was all square.
This morning, Stricker and Woods lost their foursome match to 2-and-1 to Europe’s duo of Ian Poulter and Justin Rose. But two-of-the-four U-S pairings won their foursomes, which tied the overall team score at 2-to-2 going into the afternoon play.
