Minnesota Sports-- Freshman Hannah Brandt scored three goals, nearly half of University of Minnesota women's hockey team total goals in a 7-0 season opening win over Colgate.
MINNEAPOLIS - Freshman Hannah Brandt scored three goals, nearly half of University of Minnesota women's hockey team total goals in a 7-0 season opening win over Colgate.
Also scoring for the defending national champion Golden Gopher squad were Becky Kortum, Amanda Kessel, Mira Jalouso. Kortum scored twice at Ridder Arena. The Gophers scored four goals in the third period.
Winning goalie Noora Raty made 20 saves. The same two teams play this afternoon at 4:05 p.m. at Ridder Arena.
