Thompson, Baldwin hold first debate
Wisconsin News-- Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Thompson says opponent Tammy Baldwin is an extremist who wants to raise taxes. Those two met in the first of three debates leading up to the November 6th election last night.
MILWAUKEE - Former Governor Tommy Thompson and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin. met in the first of three debates leading up to the November 6th election last night.
Thompson called the Democrat Baldwin an "extremist" and a “taxer and a spender.” Baldwin says partisan name-called is “crazy.”
Those two are campaigning to replace the retiring Herb Kohl in the Senate. Thompson is a former four-term governor of the state of Wisconsin, while Baldwin has served seven terms in the House of Representatives.
