Kenseth now in last place in Chase

-- Matt Kenseth of Cambridge fell to 12th-and-last in the Chase for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup title, after he placed 35th yesterday at the Triple-“A”-400.

DOVER. Del. - Matt Kenseth of Cambridge fell to 12th-and-last in the Chase for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup title, after he placed 35th yesterday at the Triple-“A”-400.

Kenseth had car trouble with 92 laps to go, when his rear track-bar fell. After a brief return, he crashed his car – and he headed to the garage trailing first-place Brad Keselowski by 72 points with seven races left in the 10-event Chase.

Paul Menard of Eau Claire finished 22nd yesterday, and he remains 16th – out of the official hunt for the Sprint Cup title. Danica Patrick, who was born in Beloit and raised in nearby Roscoe Illinois, finished 28th. Travis Kvapil of Janesville was 29th.
