Plum City spikers take tough loss to Colfax

Plum City's chances for the Dunn-St. Croix Conference title in volleyball were hurt by a 3-2 loss to Colfax Tuesday.

COLFAX - Plum City's chances for the Dunn-St. Croix Conference title in volleyball were hurt by a 3-2 loss to Colfax Tuesday.

It's the second D-SC loss in a row for the Blue Devils who fell five days ago at home to Boyceville by a 1-3 score. Now PC, 5-2 in league play, has to win at home vs. Elk Mound Thursday and hope both Colfax and Elk Mound lose next Tuesday in the final night of conference play while Plum City wins at Elmwood.

The Devils had a 2-1 lead in the match after winning Game 3 by a 25-14 score. But the Vikings came back to win Game 4, 25-22 and then took Game 5 decisively 15-8.
