Minnesota forward Amanda Kessel of Madison, Wisconsin is the league's Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Golden Gophers to a pair of dominating wins over Colgate last weekend. Her teammate Hannah Brandt of Vadnais Heights was named the WHCA Freshman of the Week.
Ad, Minnesota State-Mankato junior goaltender Danielle Butters of London, Ontario, is the conference's Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Mavericks to a win and a tie against Wisconsin over the weekend.
