MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Bucks’ fans got to see their team for the first time last night, during a public practice and scrimmage at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The Black team edged out the White squad in the scrimmage, 63-59.
Tobias Harris led all scorers with 19 points on the losing side, and Ersan Ilyasova added 14 for the White team. The other team had more balanced scoring. Drew Gooden led the way with 11. Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis each scored six. Jennings debuted a new one-legged floater shot made famous by veteran LA Lakers’ guard Steve Nash. He said he wants to keep improving his field goal percentage, which was almost 42-percent last season – three points higher than the year before.
Bucks Head Coach Scott Skiles said Jennings has always had a good floater shot, but he could get a little more lift by pushing it off one leg. Skiles says he likes that his players are being creative and trying new moves. As for the scrimmage, Skiles called it “okay for the third day of training camp.”
