Authorities have finally identified a woman whose body was found in a burning car in western Wisconsin last month.

The State Crime Lab used DNA analysis to identify 33-year-old Karen Koca of New Lisbon. Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin said the cause of her death has not been determined. Investigators have been treating the incident as a homicide. The car fire was discovered on September 18th near Norwalk. Officials said Koca was not the owner of the car – a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with Minnesota license plates.

La Crosse TV news anchor Jennifer Livingston, who responded on the air to a viewer who called her obese, has received support from her famous brother. Ron Livingston, who starred in “Sex and the City” and the comedy film “Office Space,” issued a statement in support of his sister. That was after Jennifer Livingston received a scathing e-mail lecture from a viewer who told her to quote, “Reconsider your responsibility to present and promote a healthy lifestyle.” Jennifer considered the writer to be a bully – and she said so in a four minute response on her WKBT morning news show in La Crosse on Tuesday. The video went viral on the Internet, and she was on the national morning news programs yesterday, speaking up for youngsters who don’t have the wherewithal to fight back at bullies. Thousands of people have spoken up in support of Jennifer Livingston. And in “US Weekly” magazine, Ron Livingston called his sister “an Emmy-winning journalist and mother of three amazing girls.” He said Jennifer brings an “exceptional dedication to her job, her family, and her community.” And he called her a role model of his for “many, many years.”
