Authorities continue to investigate a farmhouse fire in northwest Wisconsin that killed a 72-year-old man. Relatives told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that Thomas Cook lived in a home near Somerset where generations of his family had lived before him. His 62-year-old wife Linda told family members that she thought her husband was behind her, as she escaped the burning house unharmed. Somerset Fire Chief Travis Belisle said the house was about half-engulfed in flames when units arrived late Friday night. He said the winds were strong, and they helped push the flames through the house. Thomas Cook’s remains were found after the fire was put out. Linda Cook was taken to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul Minnesota with non-life-threatening injuries.
