Forsman leads Greater Hickory Classic

CONOVER, N.C. - Rhinelander native Dan Forsman is at the top of the leaderboard after the first round of the Champions Tour Greater Hickory Classic.

Forsman shot a seven under par 65 Friday to lead Fred Funk, David Frost and Larry Mize by one shot.

The second round is played today in Conover, North Carolina.

John Mallinger shot a course record 62 to take a four-shot lead at the Frys.com Open. Billy Horschel and Jhonattan Vegas are tied for second at 10 under par. Madison golfer Jerry Kelly shot a three under par 68 Friday and is five under for the tournament, tied for 24th place entering today’s third round.
