For the past 61 years, area businesses have participated and contributed to the Pierce County Dairy Recognition Banquet.

And in 2012, that interconnection between main street businesses and dairy farmers surrounding those towns couldn’t be more important. The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin along with other farm organizations have documented that dairy farmers spend their money locally, where the local community economy all shares in the money generated down on the farm. While job growth has been slow in the non-farm sector, job growth gains have been made in the agriculture sector.

The following businesses are connected with the Pierce County Dairy Farm economy, and have become donors and sponsors of the Pierce County Dairy Banquet, which will be held this Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Elmwood Auditorium in Elmwood.
