KANSAS CITY - Matt Kenseth of Cambridge is running out of time in his bid to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup season title. Kenseth is 11th in the standings going into Sunday’s Hollywood Casino-400 at Kansas City, Kansas.

It’s the sixth-of-10 races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Kenseth won a Chase event a couple weeks ago, but he never rose in the point standings as a result. He did move up a spot last week, and he now trails first-place Brad Keselowski by 67 points. Paul Menard of Eau Claire is also entered for Sunday’s event, along with Travis Kvapil of Janesville, Kelly Bires of Mauston, and Beloit-born Danica Patrick.

She’s also the only Wisconsin racer in the Kansas Lottery-300 tomorrow at the Kansas Speedway. Patrick took eighth place in her first practice run yesterday, with a one-lap speed of 178.524 miles-an-hour.
