Lucia wins 600th as Gophers beat Tech; U women shuout Ohio State

--The University of Minnesota men's hockey team bounced back from a upset loss to Michigan Tech Friday by eating the Huskies 3-2 Saturday. The Golden Gopher women's team remained undefeated with an 8-0 shutout of Ohio State.

Amanda Kessel had the hat trick for the nation's No. 1 ranked and still unbeaten women's college hockey team with three goals at Ridder Arena Saturday afternoon. No one else for the U scored more than one. Mira Jaluso had a goal and an assist as did Rachel Bona. Hannah Brandt made two assists. Gopher Goalie Noora Raty made 20 saves.

Don Lucia won his 600th career game as the Gopher men bounced back to edge Tech 3-2 at MacInnes Student Ice Arena in Houghton, Mich. Seth Ambroz's goal at the 16:25 mark of the third period was the game winner. Ambroz also scored the game's first goal while Erik Haula also scored for the Gophers. Winning goalie Adam Wilcox made 16 saves as the U badly outshot the Huskies 34-18. Minnesota is 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the WCHA.
