ROCHESTER, Minn. - You hear of the dead voting in elections? Well in Rochester on Election Day, the dead can actually vote for the dead.
Because of state ballot deadline law, former Rochester City Council President Denny Hanson, who died of a brain aneurysm in June, will still be listed on the ballot.
There are write-in candidates for Hanson's seat on the council. But if it so happens he should win, a special election would then be held soon afterward.
