RIVER FALLS - Area fire chiefs determined Friday that the last few days of rain has soaked the ground cover enough to lift the burn ban in effect since late August.
River Falls Assistant Fire Chief Mike Moody said, “It won’t take much sunny weather to make things dry again, so we are still advising that people use extra caution if they are going to burn.”
While the chiefs might have to re-instate the burn ban, for now it is lifted in the city and town of River Falls, city and town of Hudson, city of Prescott and the towns of Clifton, Kinnickinnic and Pleasant Valley and Troy.
