Shirley Jean (Timm) Langer, age 83, of Spring Valley, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Shirley was born Aug. 27, 1929, to August "Joe" and Thelma (Beck) Timm in Cady Township, St. Croix County, Wis.
On July 3, 1948, Shirley married Leo "Whitey" Langer at the St. John's-Hatchville Parsonage. They have lived in Spring Valley ever since. At age 17, prior to graduation, Shirley began working at the Bank of Spring Valley and worked for there 50 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Richard Timm.
Survived by her husband, Leo "Whitey" Langer of Spring Valley; daughter, Cheryl (Robert Olsen) Langer of Ajo, Ariz.; son, Steve (Kaye) Langer of Middleton, Wis.; granddaughter, Hilary Langer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; brothers Gerald (Mary) Timm of Stillwater, Minn., and Ken Timm of Baldwin, Wis.; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, with Rev. Martin Wegner officiating. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Spring Valley.
Pallbearers were Eric Timm, Tom Borchardt, Jim Ylinen, Peg Vorlicek, Jeff Esanbock, and Chris Langer.
