A Minnesota man charged with the murders of a photo shop owner and his son in La Crosse, Wisconsin was silent in court Thursday as a judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. Thirty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Lepsch is accused of intentional murder and armed robbery in the deaths of Paul and A-J Petras. Police say 14 pieces of camera equipment stolen from the Mays Photo shop in La Crosse were recovered at Lepsch's home about a month after the September 15th shootings. Surveillance video taken outside the store on the day of the slayings shows a man with several full bags getting into a van matching the one found at the defendant's home.
