Goal explosion leads Minnesota women's hockey team to 5-1 win

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Four unanswered goals in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and led the No.1 ranked University of Minnesota women's hockey team to a 5-1 win over North Dakota Saturday in front of a crowd of over 3,500 at Ralph Engelstad Arena.

Rachel Bona, Millica McMillen, Brooke Garzone and Hannah Brandt all scored goals for the Golden Gophers in the third period. Megan Bozek also scored for the U and McMillen had an assist.

Goalie Noora Raty made 21 saves to keep the Gophers undefeated.
