WAUKESHA - Stockholders in a Wisconsin company will get higher earnings as the result of Superstorm Sandy.
Generac of Waukesha has been selling portable back-up electric generators to those without power due to the massive storm. As a result, Generac expects its sales for the year to rise above 40-percent – above its original projection of a 30-percent hike.
The firm’s net income per share is expected to be 2.95 to three-dollars – about 30-cents higher than its earlier forecast. Generac also said today that its net sales grew 26-percent in the third quarter of the year, compared to the same time in 2011.
