UW-Oshkosh clinches WIAC football title

-- UW-Oshkosh moved up one place to fifth in the national D3football.com poll after crushing Stevens Point 56-31 on Saturday. The Titans scored five touchdowns in nine minutes in the first half, as they improved to 9-0 overall. Oshkosh also won its first outright WIAC conference title since 1976.

UW-Platteville moved up three spots to No.-12 in the new Division-Three poll, after pounding Stout 62-20. Whitewater -- the three-time defending national champions -- is now 12 spots out of the Top-25 with three losses overall. The Warhawks ended a two-game losing streak with a 19-10 win over Eau Claire.

Mount Union of Ohio still tops the D3 poll at 9-0.
