Pierce County splits vote on statewide races
Pierce County voters went in two opposite directions when it came to the two statewide races on the ballot in Tuesday's election.

Republican Mitt Romney won the county's vote in the Presidential election. He bested Democrat President Barak Obama with 10,383 votes to Obama's 10,213 votes with 100 percent of the county's voting precincts reporting.
However it Democrat Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin who edged out Republican former governor Tommy Thompson in the U.S. Senate race. Baldwin earned 10,237 votes while Thompson had 9,832 with 100 percent of the precincts reporting.
