T-Wolves top Magic by 90-75 score

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves used a balanced scoring effort to push by the Orlando Magic 90-75 last night at the Target Center.

Minnesota point guard Luke Ridnour scored a season-high 19 points and center Greg Stiemsma came off the bench to score a dozen to help the Wolves win. Brandon Roy handed out a season-high nine assists. The T'Wolves went on a 28-6 run in the third quarter to pull away.

Minnesota is now 3-1 on the season, its best start since starting the 2001 season 6-0. The Timberwolves host Indiana tomorrow night.

The Atlanta Hawks outscored the Pacers 24-9 in the fourth quarter en route to an 89-86 win last night in Georgia. Indiana travels to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves tomorrow. The Pacers expect to be without star forward Danny Granger for another three months. The team announced that Granger had an injection on Tuesday to treat his injured left knee. He was originally hurt during the playoffs last season and has continued to be bothered by the knee. Granger has been the team's leading scorer the last five seasons. Tomorrow's game is set for 7 p.m. at the Target Center.
