(Eden Prairie, MN) -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder told reporters yesterday that his confidence remains high and that he is not overly concerned about his recent struggles in the passing game.
He says nothing jumps out at him in regard to needing to change his performance, and he also says he takes solace in the fact that many of his mistakes aren't repeat errors. Ponder says he remains confident in his abilities and his readiness to the lead the team because he works hard to prepare for every game. Ponder threw for only 63 yards in last weekend's loss at Seattle. Minnesota hosts Detroit on Sunday at noon.

Injuries continue to slow the Detroit Lions at practice. Safety Louis Delmas, defensive end Cliff Avril, receiver Calvin Johnson and defensive tackle Corey Williams missed practice on Wednesday. Johnson said his sore knee is not as bad as last week. Despite being a game-time decision last Sunday against the Jaguars, Johnson finished with seven receptions for 129 yards. Detroit will travel to Minnesota on Sunday.

The Indianapolis Colts are in Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars tonight in Thursday Night Football. The Colts have won three straight following last Sunday's 23-20 win over Miami and are now 5-3 on the season. The Jaguars have just one win this year, a Week Three victory at Indianapolis. Jacksonville has since lost five in-a-row to fall to 1-7.
