Weiser, Lytle named to the first team All MBC

Anna Weiser and Kayla Lytle from Prescott were named to the All Middle Border Conference volleyball squad for the 2012 season

Five Pierce County prep volleyball players are members of the All Middle Border Conference Volleyball Squad for the 2012 season.

Two players from Prescott made the first team in sophomore middle hitter Anna Weiser and senior setter Kayla Lytle. They helped PHS win its first conference title since 2008.

Ellsworth had two players made the second team and Prescott had one. Senior Kenzie Diercks and junior Olivia Helmer were chosen from EHS while junior libero Katy Syverson was tabbed for the second team from Prescott.

Both Helmer and Weiser were given honorable mention in 2011.

One Pierce County player did receive honorable mention and it was Prescott senior Lauren Bieter.

The rest of the All MBC first team consists of Baldwin-Woodville juniors Abby Klopp and Jessica Morrissey, Osceola junior McKenzie Burke, her teammate, sophomore Macey Terhell and Somerset senior Sarah Northey. Osceola claimed a share of the league title in 2012 with Prescott.

Klopp made the second team last fall while Terhell received honorable mention.
