ELMWOOD—Mayo Clinic Health System sites throughout West-Central Wisconsin, including at Elmwood, are collecting new hats, mittens, gloves and scarves to give to local families in need in an annual project called “Warm the Hands, Warm the Heart.”

Items will be collected through Friday, Nov. 30. The various sites’ Employee Volunteer Committees are sponsoring the project, which is in its tenth year.

Hundreds of items are collected each year and distributed to local charities. Water-repellent children’s items and men’s gloves are especially needed.

The Elmwood drop-off site is Mayo Clinic Health System – Red Cedar, 236 Springer Ave.
