Necedah's Sauter finishes 25th in truck race
Wisconsin Sports-- Brian Scott took the first win of the season and second in his career at last night’s Camping World Truck Series Lucas Oil 150 in Arizona.
PHOENIX - Brian Scott took the first win of the season and second in his career at last night’s Camping World Truck Series Lucas Oil 150 in Arizona.
Scott passed Kyle Larson to take the victory at the Phoenix International Raceway. James Buescher was able to hold on to his lead in the series points standings. Both he and Ty Dillon finished back in the pack in the next-to-last race of the season.
The only Wisconsin driver in the field was Necedah’s Johnny Sauter who finished 25th. Sauter remained in 10th place among the points leaders in the truck series.

Kyle Busch not only won the pole position for tomorrow’s AdvoCare 500, he set a record for the Phoenix International Raceway. Points leader Jimmie Johnson will start 24th. After racing well several weeks in a row and moving up to fifth place, Cambridge native Matt Kenseth will start 22nd tomorrow. The best starting position for a Wisconsin driver is Eau Claire’s Paul Menard taking off seventh. Beloit-born Danica Patrick starts 37th and Janesville’s Travis Kvapil takes off 39th in the 43-car field.
