Taxes aren’t being increased in the Village of Ellsworth’s 2013 budget proposal, to be presented at a public hearing on Monday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in the village hall.

Nelson cited cutting out projects as a major reason for being able to hold the tax impact steady. The mill rate, representing taxes per $1,000 worth of valuation, stays the same in the ’13 budget as it was in the ’12 version, at .006288.
