Politics enters Vikings stadium-seat license idea
Minnesota News-- Republicans say Governor Dayton should let the market work, as the dispute continues over the Minnesota Vikings' plan to charge season ticket holders for personal seat licenses at their new stadium.
ST. PAUL -- Republicans say Governor Dayton should let the market work, as the dispute continues over the Minnesota Vikings' plan to charge season ticket holders for personal seat licenses at their new stadium.
Eden Prairie Republican Senator David Hann says the Vikings are a private business with a customer base and a marketplace to compete in -- and it's not government's job to tell businesses what their prices should be.
Governor Dayton said Thursday the Vikings were not forthright about the possibility of additional charges on season ticket holders. Dayton says tens of thousands of dollars per seat is not what Minnesotans expect in a "People's Stadium."
