Rumpel joins ranks of certified teachers at Ellsworth High School

Last year, Mary Rumpel committed to taking a big step forward in her teaching career.
The Ellsworth High School math teacher’s action meant she was serious about improving as an educator. Her commitment involved a year’s worth of self-analysis, both in and out of the classroom, culminating in a test. This month, she learned those efforts beyond her regular responsibilities at EHS have paid off.
Rumpel said early last week she’s become a National Board Certified Teacher. She’s the fourth such teacher in Ellsworth, joining Lisa Benz, Peter Dulak and Shelly Moore.
