Rose Bowl or Gator Bowl for Wisconsin

MADISON - It appears that Wisconsin will head to either the Rose Bowl or the Gator Bowl, depending on whether the Badgers beat Nebraska in the Big Ten title game on Saturday night.
A victory over the Cornhuskers will send Wisconsin to Pasadena for the third straight year – while a loss could give them a spot in the Gator Bowl against an SEC team on New Year’s Day. The national media is already reminding the Badgers that they’re at the Big Ten title game only a technicality – because the top two teams in their division were ineligible for post-season play. But senior corner Marcus Cromartie says none of the opponents Wisconsin played this year believe the Badgers are a cake-walk. Wisconsin lost by three points at Nebraska, 30-27, in their Big Ten opener in late September.

UW-Oshkosh will play at Linfield of Oregon in the quarter-finals of the NCAA Division-Three football playoffs on Saturday. Both teams remain unbeaten after winning their second-round contests over the weekend. Fifth-ranked Oshkosh improved to 12-0 with a 37-14 victory over Bethel of Minnesota. It was the Titans’ 14th straight victory, the most in the nation at the moment. Linfield is 11-0 after winning 30-14 this past weekend over North Central of Illinois.
