GREEN BAY - Green Bay Packers’ receiver Greg Jennings might get a lot of playing time on Sunday against Minnesota, based on how he’s been performing at practice this week.

Offensive coordinator Tom Clements said Jennings “looks good” after his recent surgery to fix a torn abdominal muscle. Clements said the veteran receiver is moving around well, and he appears to be in good shape. Jennings has not played since September 30th, and he says he does not want to be held back in his return against the Vikings. Meanwhile, the Packers say their running game will be left on the shoulders of Alex Green and James Starks. That’s after veteran Cedric Benson had season-ending surgery Wednesday on the Lisfranc injury in his left foot, suffered October seventh at Indianapolis.

DuJuan Harris has been performing well on Green Bay’s practice squad – and it’s possible that he could get a roster spot, with running back Johnny White out with a concussion. Harris said he didn’t know if he was being considered.

Packers’ rookie safety Jerron McMillian has been fined $21,000 by the NFL for a late hit on New York Giants’ tight end Martellus Bennett last Sunday night. It was the third straight game that a Packer was fined, and McMillian told Fox Sports Wisconsin he thinks the NFL quote, “has got a hit out on us.” He said the Packers are trying to play physical football and said the league was quote, “trying to take it away.” After last week’s game, Bennett told reporters he was upset at the late hit, and he wanted to get back at McMillian for it. McMillian said he didn’t appreciate being dressed out in the media like that. He said he didn’t mean to do anything dirty, and noted it was not a helmet-to-helmet hit – and the coaches told him they didn’t want him to change his style of play. McMillian was a fourth-round draft pick in April. He said he appealed the fine, and it will be a month before he hears back on it. Packers’ linebacker Brad Jones was fined $15,750 dollars for hitting Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford near the head on November 18th. And tight end Ryan Taylor was fined 21-thousand for an illegal block on a kickoff return against Arizona on November fourth, before the team’s bye week.

The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings have two of the NFL’s most explosive players – but you probably won’t see Randall Cobb and Percy Harvin on the same field Sunday. That’s because Harvin, the Vikings’ receiver and kick returner, has missed practice all week with a sprained ankle that’s kept him out for two games. Lots of fans have been looking forward to seeing Harvin and Cobb play in the same contest – and it could still happen on December 30th, when Packers and Vikings play again in Minnesota. But for this Sunday at Lambeau, it appears to be out of the cards. Both are relatively small receivers – but they more than make up for it with their versatility. The second-year Cobb leads the NFL in all-purpose receiving, rushing, and return yards with 17-hundred-54. Harvin, despite his absence, is still fourth in the league with 1,347 all-purpose yards. Last year as a rookie, Cobb had the upper hand, with 313 total yards to Harvin’s 148. Cobb had an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown in a 45-7 rout of Minnesota last November.
