Red Wing airport area in Pierce County zoning plan advances

Zoning around the Red Wing Municipal Airport near Bay City would become consistent with the county version existing in the vicinity under a plan which has been approved by the joint airport zoning board.

BAY CITY—Zoning around the Red Wing Municipal Airport near Bay City would become consistent with the county version existing in the vicinity under a plan which has been approved by the joint airport zoning board.

The draft of this new zoning ordinance was signed by board members Wednesday. It now goes to Short, Elliot and Hendrickson, the consulting firm hired by the board for the project, before being forwarded to the Wisconsin Department of Aviation and Minnesota Department of Transportation for review and comments, to then be transformed into a final document and returned, according to Rick Moskwa of the board.
