Elmwood boys throttle Plum City 77-31

Elmwood High School's boys' basketball team scored no fewer than 18 points per quarter on their way to win by an ample amount over Pierce County rival Plum City Friday 77-31.

PLUM CITY - Elmwood scored no fewer than 18 points per quarter on their way to win by an ample amount over Pierce County rival Plum City Friday 77-31.

The Raiders were coming off a tough loss at Elk Mound Tuesday and made the Blue Devils take the backlash. Elmwood led 18-3 after the first quarter and 38-11 at halftime.

Kyle Webb led Elmwood with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Logan Wolf scored 16 points while dishing out 10 assists, grabbing eight rebounds and making six steals. Altogether Elmwood's press forced 17 steals plus numerous other unforced errors on the largley sophomore-dominated PC squad.

Seth Jones was also in double figures with 16 points and Tom LaFlex and Pat Weix each scored six points. EHS shot 50 percent from the field and had 42 rebounds to PC's 22 which helped them to improve to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference.

Three players had six points to lead the winless Blue Devils in scoring in Alex Boyer, Austin Coss and Kyle Erickson.
