Minnesota News-- The Cold Spring police officer fatally shot while responding to a call last (Thurs) night has been identified as 31-year-old Thomas Decker.
(Cold Spring, MN) -- The Cold Spring police officer fatally shot while responding to a call last (Thurs) night has been identified as 31-year-old Thomas Decker.
Authorities say Decker was doing a welfare check on a resident when he was shot and killed. Decker was a 10-year law enforcement veteran and father of four.
The suspect is identified as 34-year-old Ryan Larson. Larson has been booked in Stearns County pending second-degree murder charges. He is also being described as "suicidal."
