MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's hockey team's early lead proved insurmountable this time for Nebraska-Omaha.

The No. 3 ranked Golden Gophers (10-3-2 overall, 5-3-2 in the WCHA) early 3-0 lead held up as they held off a late Maverick rally to win 3-2 in front of over 10,000 fans at Mariucci Arena.

Erik Haula, Nick Bjugstad and Tom Serratorre all scored goals for the Gophers. Haula also added an assist. Winning goalie Adam Wilcox made 18 saves as the Gophers outshot UNO 33-20 unlike Friday's game.
