There’s another sign that Wisconsin is about to finish its warmest year on record. The average high in La Crosse was a balmy 46.7 degrees in November, while the average low was just over 29. And the overall average of 38 is two-point-one degrees above normal.

La Crosse also kept getting less rain than normal, one sign that the Drought-of-2012 continues in much of Wisconsin. The shortfall in La Crosse was about three-fourths-of-an-inch. Last week, forecasters said we’d get less snow in December than normal. In La Crosse, folks normally shovel about 11-inches of snow in a typical December. Much of Wisconsin was still foggy at mid-morning.

Cooler Canadian air has come into the state and all of Wisconsin can expect highs in the 30’s today and Wednesday. A slight warm-up is expected Thursday, along with our next chance of precipitation.
