The Prescott Police Department will again collect gifts for donation to needy families this Christmas.
Gifts can be left under the Christmas tree in the lobby at the police department at 1601 Pine St. during business hours from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The last day to make donations is Wednesday, Dec. 19.
“This is the sixth year that we are asking for donations,” said Chief of Police Mike R. Bondarenko. “The response from the community over the years has been absolutely overwhelming. The incredible generosity of Prescott residents has brightened the holidays for many local families.”
Bondarenko said there is a need not only for toys for young children, but gifts for teenagers as well. Gift cards, gasoline cards, personal electronics and cash are popular gifts for teenagers.
Please do not wrap gifts.
All items donated will be distributed to families in the Prescott area.
