Anderson is new president of Ellsworth chamber
New officers for the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce were elected at the chamber’s annual meeting late last month.
New officers for the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce were elected at the chamber’s annual meeting late last month.
Matt Anderson is the new president, Jonas Gonstead is the vice president, Raynee Farrell is the treasurer, and Ron Gafner and Jay Nesseth are directors.
Anderson has been pastor of CrossRoad Community Church in Ellsworth since 2001. The church is actively involved in the community, hosting numerous Pierce County meetings and facilitating the annual Gift Box Program. The pastor oversees the mission and ministries of offering Hope, Help and Healing to the area.
Gonstead has been with Associated Bank since 2009 and is now manager of the bank’s branch in Ellsworth. He works closely with the community and its development as co-founder and co-administrator of Biz Smarts, a small business education-based organization. He is a Chamber Ambassador.
Farrell is assistant vice president and office manager of the Bank Mutual office in Ellsworth. She joined the chamber in 1999 and has served on almost every committee and in every chamber board position while a member. She is currently the chair of the ambassador committee, planning the annual awards banquet and Under the Harvest Moon celebration, as well as co-chair of the Cheese Curd Festival Committee.
Gafner is manager at Nilssen’s Foods in Ellsworth. In the past, he’s been involved with Lions, Rotary and chamber organizations. He has taken an active role in numerous fundraising events for various groups and agencies.
Nesseth is employed with Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services as a load management technician. He’s also an active member of the Ellsworth Lions Club, having served as treasurer and vice president. He volunteers with JDRF fundraising for diabetes as well.
Outgoing officers are President Peggy Nelson, Vice President Jack Hines, and Directors Dan Duval and Linda Hines.
