Victim identified in snow-plowing accident in Star Prairie

A four-year-old boy killed in a snow-plowing accident at his family’s home in western Wisconsin has been identified as Collin Fitzgerald of Star Prairie. Saint Croix County authorities say Collin was playing in a snow-fort that his parents built for him, while his father was plowing the driveway. The man drove partially into his garage and then backed up to pull snow from the front of the garage - and then saw blood from the youngster. The father called 9-1-1 and tried to revive Collin, but he died a short time later at a New Richmond hospital. Saint Croix County Sheriff John Shilts calls it "one of the most tragic events than anyone could ever have to deal with."
