Knicks rally to beat T-Wolves
Minnesota Sports-- Minnesota led much of the game at Madison Square Garden, but it was Carmelo Anthony who saved his best for last scoring 19 of his game high 33 points in the fourth quarter as the New York Knicks beat the Timberwolves 94-91.
NEW YORK CITY -- Minnesota led much of the game at Madison Square Garden, but it was Carmelo Anthony who saved his best for last scoring 19 of his game high 33 points in the fourth quarter as the New York Knicks beat the Timberwolves 94-91.
Minnesota was without Kevin Love who missed the game after being poked in the eye late in the team's win over the OKC Thunder on Thursday. Without Love, JJ Barea moved into the starting lineup scoring 12pts while handing out 4 assists. Nikola Pekovic led Minnesota with 21 points and 17 rebounds, point guard Ricky Rubio scored just 5 points and handed out 1 assist in 18 minutes of play. Alexy Shved had 18 points, got a steal late in the game and converted a 3-point shot to pull Minnesota to within one, but air-balled a three pointer which would have tied the game with a second to play.
Minnesota falls to 13-12 and will host the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
