UWGB still tops among state's D-I women's hoops teams

GREEN BAY - The UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team won its fourth straight game over UW-Madison last night, 53-38 at home.
The Phoenix held the Badgers to just 10 points in the first half – the lowest in Wisconsin history. The Badgers trailed by 17 at the half, and they committed 25 turnovers for the game. Green Bay outscored Wisconsin 38-to-6 in the paint. The Phoenix got all their points from their starters. Stephanie Sension led the way with 13, and Adrian Ritchie scored 12. Morgan Paige had a game-high 21 for Wisconsin, and Jacki Gulcynzki had her third straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The rest of the Badgers only added five points, as they ended a four-game winning streak and fell to 7-4.
Green Bay improved to 8-2, and will play at Wichita State next Sunday. The Badgers will head to Miami after Christmas for a holiday tournament. They’ll open against Delaware State on Friday
