Whole state has a White Christmas

Wisconsin Weather

All of Wisconsin should have a White Christmas, considering how much snow we had last week. But just for good measure, far northern and far eastern Wisconsin got a fresh blanket of the white stuff just in time for Santa's arrival last night.

It was also supposed to snow in western Wisconsin, as part of a system heading from Minnesota. But it apparently stopped just before getting to the Wisconsin border. Minneapolis got a half-inch, while parts of Wisconsin about 25 miles to the east had nothing. Parts of far southeast Wisconsin could get lake-effect snows later tonight through Wednesday night. The best chance is on Wednesday – and the amounts are expected to be light.

Meanwhile, it’s supposed to get colder tonight. Overnight lows are expected to be zero-to-four below – but along Lake Michigan, it will be a few degrees above zero. Partly cloudy and dry weather is in the forecast for Christmas Day, with highs generally in the teens-and-20’s.
