HAWKINS - The Rusk County Sheriff’s Department reports it has arrested a 65 year old man in the shooting death of Darlene Lazar. She was also 65 years old.
Authorities say they got a 911 call at 5 p.m. Sunday from a woman who said she had been shot. When deputies arrived, they arrested the man and found the woman’s dead body inside the home in the Township of Hawkins.
Investigators say they will request the district attorney file an initial charge of first-degree intentional homicide.
