Damian Lillard added 20 points and six assists for the Blazers, who went 3-1 on a four-game road trip. LaMarcus Aldridge donated 14 points and nine rebounds.
Portland went 16-of-24 from beyond the arc to tie the franchise record for made 3-pointers in a game.
Nikola Pekovic ended with 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who learned before the game that Love re-fractured the third metacarpal in his right hand.
Derrick Williams had 18 points for Minnesota, which got 15 points apiece from Andrei Kirilenko and Luke Ridnour.
