HONOLULU, Hawaii - Madison’s Steve Stricker is in second place going into today’s final round of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

The PGA’s first tournament of the New Year finally kicked off yesterday, after being delayed for three days due to strong winds. Stricker shot 71 and 67 in two rounds yesterday. He’s at eight-under-par 138, three strokes behind first-place Dustin Johnson. Stricker is the tournament’s defending champion.

Pewaukee native Mark Wilson is tied for 14th at one-under. He shot 69 and 76 in his two rounds yesterday.

Tournament officials decided to shorten the event to three rounds. It’s the Tour’s first Tuesday finish since the 2006 Booz-Allen Classic.
