ST. PAUL -- Members of the Minnesota Wild will be back on the ice at the Xcel Energy Center this afternoon in St. Paul.
The locked-out players had been skating at other rinks since their collective bargaining agreement expired in September. But the NHL and its players association reached tentativement agreement on a new CBA following a weekend negotiating session.
The deal still needs to be ratified by all sides, but it looks like there will be a 48-or-50-game regular season schedule this winter. The Wild will release more information about the shortened 2013 season when the deal is completed.
