Cedarburg man recovered from Cedar Creek

CEDARBURG - Recovery crews have found the body of a missing Cedarburg man after somebody called the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department to report a hat floating in Cedar Creek.

Twenty-four year old Robert Steinbrecker was last seen running on the ice on that creek two days after Christmas. Witnesses reporting his disappearance said he was wearing a green-and-goal Green Bay Packers hat and a heavy, dark green parka, a blue T-shirt, brown pants and black tennis shoes when they last saw time. The hat seen in the water matched the description of the one Steinbrecker was wearing.

His body was pulled out of the creek yesterday.
