Elmwood's winning streak snapped
The No. 10 ranked Elmwood High School boys' basketball team saw its eight-game winnng streak snapped after a tought 62-61 loss at Mondovi Saturday.
ELMWOOD - The No. 10 ranked Elmwood High School boys' basketball team saw its eight-game winnng streak snapped after a tought 62-61 loss at Mondovi Saturday.
The Raiders led big as per usual 18-8 after the first quarter but Mondovi stormed right back in the second, outscoing Elmwood 21-11 to tie the game at halftime. The Buffaloes then edged EHS by a point in an evenly played second half. Elmwood was also out-rebounded for the first time 22-14.
A.J. Risler led Mondovi with 20 points as they had four players in double figures. Elmwood too, had four players in double figures led by Tom LaFlex's 14 points. Logan Wolf finished with 13 points and five assists, Levi Wolf had 12 points and Seth Jones finished with 10.
The Raiders won't have time to brood as No. 3 and undefeated Elk Mound comes to Elmwood on Tuesday.
